Ring Resizing:
Larger:
Most
rings (except full eternity or puzzle rings for example) can be made larger by a few sizes by use of a machine that expands
the shank of the ring.
Resizing of this nature would typically cost £5
If
the ring needs to be made larger by more than a few sizes, then this requires the ring to be cut on the shank, and an
extra piece of gold (or silver) added to the ring. This is then soldered and polished.
Typical
costs for this are the cost of the added gold, plus £10 labour.
Smaller:
Will
require the shank to be cut. The ring is then reshaped to its’ new size and polished.
Typical costs are £10 labour.
Soldering:
Generally
speaking will be the cost of any materials plus labour.
Watch Repairs:
We
know several watch repairers in the North West who specialize in particular fine makes, Omega, Rolex, Patek
Phillipe etc.
The
prices they charge will depend on the nature of the work required.
